Equipment Rental Manager, Sydney

SUNSTUDIOS Sydney is looking for a highly dynamic Equipment Rental Manager.

Your role will be to manage and empower staff to deliver outstanding customer experiences and improve the operational efficiency of the Sydney Equipment Rental department.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Building and developing relationships with customers and key accounts
  • Continuous improvement of procedures and improved operational efficiencies
  • Equipment Rental sales plan and execution, managing revenue and profit
  • Pricing and promotions, along with overseeing online sales
  • Inventory management and control
  • Ensuring equipment is ready in full, on time and operational in good condition
  • Setting business goals and objectives
  • Managing staff, including: learning and development, rewards and recognition, and recruitment
  • Partnership with Studios and Retail sales teams
  • Maintaining health, safety and environment standards
  • Business forecasting
  • Managing client contracts, proposals, requests, quotes and invoicing
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders such as Studio Manager and Team, Sales team, Finance and Content and Communications Manager

SUNSTUDIOS Melbourne is seeking a Fine Art Printer to join our growing team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve the key goals of SUNSTUDIOS
  • Contribute to and execute the sales strategies to reliably and consistently deliver the revenue and profit growth targets for Melbourne
  • Build and execute the Print Services business in Melbourne
  • Sales of printer hardware and consumables
  • Keep the Printer production and display area relevant, fresh and professionally presented
  • Develop a print hub for Professionals and Enthusiasts

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Technical understanding of Ink Jet Print technologies
  • Experience in Professional colour managed digital workflows
  • Proficiency in Photoshop
  • Retouching experience
  • Proven ability to create fine art prints
  • Knowledge and understanding of ACCC legislation and relevant legal requirements
  • Commerical acumen

Desired criteria:

  • Knowledge of professional imaging markets
  • Interest in visual creativity
  • Scanning experience
  • Large format print handling experience
  • Ability to communicate with artists to understand their vision

Customer Support & Sales, Melbourne

SUNSTUDIOS specialises in the sales and rental of professional photography and video production equipment. Our product range includes cameras, lenses, lighting systems and accessories suitable for commercial & broadcast uses. Our major clients include professional photographers, government departments, educational institutions, advertising agencies & video production companies.

We require a competent and self-motivated, full time senior sales person to service existing clients and develop new business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Sales and support for our existing clients
  • Develop new business in our key areas of operation
  • Work with peers to keep the showroom relevant, fresh and professionally presented.
  • Make suggestions for and execute Melbourne sales promotional activities
  • Conduct and communicate research into market trends, client feedback and competitor activity
  • Provide timely weekly sales reports and forecasts to Melbourne Sales Manager
  • You will also be required to support our equipment rentals staff from time to time

To be considered for this position you should have

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels
  • Knowledge of professional imaging markets
  • Knowledge of motion imaging markets
  • Computer Literacy (proficient in Excel/ WORD/ PowerPoint)

  • Personal organisation and high level of self-motivation
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Superior time management and organisational skills

Ideally you will have a keen interest in visual creativity and some experience with photographic/print/video workflow.
